Farewell to Spring

Tomorrow our friend Spring is going on a journey
 far away.
I wonder where she will travel to?
Will she fly through the air in a magic bubble,
or will she fly on butterfly wings?
Will she skip across the oceans,
dancing with our sea friends?
Or  will  the wind toss her through the  desert
like a tumble weed?
Will she sleep on a  mountain tops  in beds of soft clover
 and touch the twinkling stars?

Will she travel to your world?

Who can say where her wings will take her?
Spring has shared so many gifts with us.
Her gift of the rain has quenched the thirst of many forest trees.
Her gift of the buzzing honey bees have  kissed all of my flowers and trees ,
 with blossoms.
Rivers and streams and ponds are overflowing
with dancing waters!
Fish, frogs and tadpoles swimming and splashing, are happy!

Thank you Spring!

Now it is time for Spring to spread her wings and gently fly away.
Who can say where she will go?

Now my heart will welcome Summer!
If it be a sunny day with sun shine rays  resting on my shoulders,
or the softest mist that tickles my whiskers,
 I will welcome Summer!
And  I will blow farewell  kisses to Spring ,
 until we see her again.
Will you wish with me that Spring will have safe travels?
Nitey nite .
love
tweedles

hey Tweedles,

Lovely! I am sure Spring will miss you, too. But it is time for Spring to move on and share her blessings with others. I send my thanks to Spring as well, and with you I add my wishes for Spring to have safe travels.

I am looking forward to see what wonders Summer brings to your World. I am happy that Summer is here because that is one season closer to getting me snow! :->

With a tribute like that I am sure Spring will happily and safely return very soon. In the meanwhile, we welcome her sister, Summer and look forward to getting to spend time with her.

Hello dear Tweedles... I'm not sure if I've told you this but you have the cutest name... I bet your mom loves saying it over and over again.

Next, don't worry, spring will be back soon... in a year or so. In the mean time, you can always enjoy the reds and orange of summer.

We only have two weathers here- Sunny and Rainy season.

Tweedles, I will miss things about Spring. I like the way I feel when I first realize that Spring is here. The familiar smells, the birds and the pretty flowers that only visit in Spring and then go away. I will miss it, but Summer can be wonderful also, with new flowers and birds and yummy yummy treasures from the Farmers Market. I like Summer too and now I think I am ready for it. What about you??

So sweet, Tweedles. Today is the solstice, isn't it? We didn't have spring this year... and that's why we're having so many fires. Maybe she could visit us next?

I had a butterfly land on me the other day, and, for some reason, I thought of you.

Hi Tweedles,
That is such a lovely poem, and a pretty picture of you. Made me feel all fuzzy to see you with a dragonfly just like the one you sent me! Summer is definitely here where I live, so hot! But we have a few baby bunnies in our back yard from spring. They are so cute!

Good Morning, Tweedles! Your words to Spring are so truly beautiful! I loved reading it. I must be a bit of of a grump, and tell Spring not to hang out with Winter so much this time - she was a bit cooler and wetter than usual here. :) let's hope Summer brings more sunshine to rest on our shoulders.

'Ello me little mate. WOW, Spring, we have to wait for so long before it comes again...
Summer... and it seems even further off because of all the rain we have had here. Do you think you could get that bubble of yours and help it blow away all the winds and rain.. If you send your balloon, I'm sure the wind and rain will take notice.. IF NOT... then I will have to get someone to make me a pair of flippers...
Ode to Spring, you do it so well...

Our spring felt more like summer! I think spring is heading off on a journey that will take a few months...a journey to another part of the planet where winter is just starting. After a few months, by the time spring arrives there, they will be oh so ready for the gentle breezes and warmer temps of spring. Safe travels, spring!
