"Only Tracks In The Snow"

It was Christmas Eve,

long ago deep in the forest near Leaning Hollow.
There, in a tiny bed, 6 spotted little bunnies were nestled together sleeping.
It was almost Christmas.
It would be a special time, as each of the bunnies would awake to find brand new carrots, all hanging on the branches of their tiny Christrmas tree.
Each of the carrots would have the bunnies names carved into it.
However, all the bunnies had been anticipating something very special that always happened on Christmas Eve.
For some reason that special something had not yet happened.
The bunnies waited and waited, hoping to get a glimpse of the magic, that certainly always
happened.

The bunnys became so sleepy . They were yawning and becoming restless.
The decision was made, ,,they could not wait any longer .
So off to bed all the little bunnies marched in single file, all making a huge hop, all at once into the fluffy bed.
Right into the bed, they hopped.
The night was very still.

So very still.
All that you could hear, was the sound of the snowflakes, gently drifting down through the sky and landing softly on the ground.
Sometimes you could hear the sound of one of the bunnies snoring.

zzzzzzzzzzz
The bunnies had not been asleep long, when sounds of giggling could be heard.
Could it be? Could it be the little elf that they were waiting for?
Could it be The Tweedles that always brought their Christmas Eve jammies?

All the bunnies jumped down from the bed- one by one, and looked out the window.
All they could see, was tracks in the snow.
Only tracks in the snow.
The bunnies all looked at each other, and then they looked at the tree.

Right there before their eyes and under the tree, was the Christmas Eve magic.
The bunnies were excited as they all snuggled into their new jammies.
Admiring, and twirling and dancing with glee.

Look at me- the bunnys all said to each other!
Once again they looked out the window- one last time, only to see the tracks in the snow.
The bunnies all hopped back into bed and curled up side by side.
Pretty little blankets were snugged up to their cold little noses.
As they started to drift off to sleep, the littlest bunny said "maybe next year we will see Tweedles, maybe next year.'
Nitey nite my friends

My friends.
I have decided that now is the time to share with you how I got my name.
This is the true story.
Long ago my mama was a little girl.
She had 5 sisters- (that made six little girls.)
Their home was in Georgia and their mama brought the story of Tweedles the little Christmas Eve Elf into their lives.
Each and every Christmas Eve the little Elf brought jammies.
To this very day, that little Elf still comes, and leaves jammies just like it did many years ago.
When I hopped into the lives of my moms, they decided to name me after that wonderful, happy, and mischievious little Elf Tweedles.

"I Hear Winter"

Something in this BIG world is different.
The air smells different.
The sky looks different.

Who can tell me where the Fall went?
Who can tell me where the little white SPOTS on the fawns hide?
Who can tell me why the trees are NAKED?
Who can tell me why my frog pond is FROZEN?
Who can tell me where the autumn birds are?
Who can tell me where the sun sleeps?
Who can tell me why, I wonder why?

I wonder so much,,,, about things.
But now I have more things to wonder about-
like WINTER, ,,,,,,,,
How did WINTER arrive?
Was I sleeping?
Did it TAP on my window?
Who can tell me what WINTER is?
Where does WINTER hide?
Where does winter keep the SNOWFLAKES?
Why does winter sound quiet?
Why does winter smell so clean and fluffy?

Wonder
Wonder
Wonder
That's what I do.
I am also wondering how I can get behind this BARRICADE
so I can check to see whats under the tree.
I see prezzies with my name on them.
Who can tell me why there must be a BARRICADE around the tree?
I thought the tree was mine!
Why are moms so PARANOID that I might eat a little light bulb?
Whats a Tweedles to do?

I have a BIG job doing all this wondering, wondering, wondering.
But, I decided- "What will be,- will be".
I think that I will take a nappy and dream about the reindeer,
and "you know who" , as they fly through the sky from your house to mine.

I will also DREAM about snowmen.
I wonder if I can bring one into my house?
Dream

"I Saw Reindeer in the Stars"

I had a fantastic dream that it was SNOWING!
I saw Reindeer DANCING in the sky.
They were LEAPING from one star to another!
Their little feet GLISTENED and GLOWED like diamonds.
I watched in AWE as they DANCED clear across this big world.
Did you see them?
They wore jingle bells around their neck.
Did you hear the bells jingle?
Jingle, jingle, jingle.
And then, I was almost POSITIVE that Reindeer were on my bed!
Bouncing
and
Bouncing
and
Bouncing
And then, I woke up, and who do you think was sitting on my bed?
This little baby reindeer was snuggling right next to me.
This little reindeer gets to live at my house FOREVER and EVER.
Was this only a dream?
NO this was real.
I know it.
Sometimes, have you ever wondered if your dreams are real or only a silly dream?
I think the answer is this ,,,,,,
if it was HAPPY- then it was REAL- that is the ANSWER.
All those Reindeer are now jumping from one star to another in your part of OUR big world-
GO SEE!

And then, I looked at my fireplace and look what was hanging there.

This little stocking came to me from Paula from the mom to Smokey and Paisley and Bandit ( she made it for me.) Just for me!
Thank you sweet Paula, Smokey, Paisley and Bandit for sharing with me.
You made me feel special!

I am going to share this special stocking with my new friend.
I will stuff it with carrots and sugar cubes, and of course there is PLENTY of room for other stuff!
Tonight, when you close your eyes to sleepy- see if you can hear the jingle bells as the little reindeer leap from one star to another.
Nitey Nite my friends.

"Let The Festivities Begin"

Hi my friends,
Today, my holiday pictures arrived.
I was quite excited,
to see that jolly man,
in the Red Suit again.
You can SEE by my face that I had much on my mind!
My mind was preoccupied.
with,,,,,
Things,,,,,, You know--- THINGS.
All these THINGS were on my mind.
Things like hopping down and zooming, FAST!
FAST as I can zoom.
There were toys to see,
There were Jingle Bells to ring,
There were treats to taste,
There were cats to chase,
There were snowmen to dance with
and there were places to go!
Santa appears to be listening intently and was pondering over my wish list.
I know his face, has an expression ---like he is wondering if his lap felt wet,,,,,
But NO!!! It wasn't WET!
I wouldn't do THAT!
Not the Tweedles!!

Our holiday traditions have already begun at our house.
The first of our traditions is to display a beauiful STAR in the sky.
Do you have traditions?
Tell me about them. I would love to know.

"The Man In The Red Suit"

The world smelled like a GIANT red candy cane to me.
I smelled excitement in the air, from the moment I woke up!
This was MY day.
My moms and I had been planning this day for a whole year.
Do you want to join me?
Come on! Lets go!
Pack your water bowl and sweater and away we go- to see the man in the RED SUIT!
This is my new holiday sweater. Mama made my scarf- just for me.
As soon as we drove into Santa land, I announced I was there!
I announced to the world!
Here I come- READY OR NOT!

All the sparkling lights and smells and toys were everywhere!
What's a Tweedles to do?
I wanted to RUN free.
Run free up and down the aisles.
But,,,, for some reason that did not happen.
Not today at least.

I checked out all the shelves that were stocked with all kinds of toys and treats.
I saw horses, and cows and chickens and birds, and balls!
Hummm, I don't have one of those at home, I said to myself.
Not YET, at least.

And I found baskets FULL of toys.
The basket were going to animal shelters.
I choose two little toys for the basket too, so I carefully stuffed them in.
And then it was, that I started walking down a long trail deep into the forest.
There were kitties
and bunnies
and hampsters
There were big doggies and little doggies
And then there was ME.
Snowy white trees wth red ribbons stood tall on each side of the winding trail.
Snowmen were spinning in circles and dancing in the snow.
It looked like magic land to me.
Up ahead in the clearing I saw him- the man in RED, he was sitting.
He was jolly.
He laughed.
His eyes GLISTENED.
His hair was white as snow.
His smile said hello.
One by one,,,,,
each little animal took turns as they went up to the man in red and whispered in his ear.
I wonder what they said.
Soon it was my turn.
My EYES grew HUGE.
My heart POUNDED.
I looked in his eyes and then I whispered softly into his ear- then he kissed my face.
I can't tell you what I whispered.
It is really a secret.
Secrets are forever!
As I jumped down from his lap, I grabbed a candy cane, and danced with the snowmen.
Then,,,,,,,
I ran to mom who was waiting for me.
I was exhaugsted, after all that excitement.
Wouldn't you be?
As mommy drove us home, I dreamt about the snowmen that I saw dancing in the forest.
When we arrived home, I zoomed inside the house to tell my mama all about my day.
I wish you all sweet dreams tonight.

"Dear Santa Paws"

I have been up all night.
I have been contemplating.
I have been writing , a long, long letter to someone special.

On Saturday I am going to go visit that special friend.
Do you know who that friend could be?
It is Santa Paws, of course!

Dear Santa Paws
I have some HUMUNGOUSLY
big wishes on my wish list.
If you could help me, with these few little things,

I promise to be a good little puggie next year.
I don't want to be selfish, so I decided to only ask
for these few little things.

Wish number 1. Is for the animals of the world.
You see Santa, the problem is this:

There are so many homeless animals.
Where will they go for Christmas?
Who will love them?
What will they eat?
Will they get a nice scratch behind the ear?
Will they get a new toy?
So many of my friends, have been helping in GIGANTIC rescues.
They drive many, many, miles
across this big world to go help and find new homes for homeless.
They drive - even if it is, just for one little doggie.
Is there a special star in the sky that we can wish upon,
to help these little animals find love,
and forever homes,
and food,
and a blankey?

My wish is for all the animals of the world to find forever homes.

Wish number 2. is for the world,,,,,,
I will wish that the world will find PEACE very soon.

Wish number 3. Is for me
I would like one new toy, please.
Thank you Santa, I know you can help.

Nitey Nite my friends,

Star Light Star Brite

The clouds parted
in the moonless sky
and then I saw ,,,
in the Northern Sky,
Star Light
Star Bright
Your the first star
I see tonight
I wonder how you shine so brite.

I have been consumed by the mysticalness of the
twinkling stars in our ENORMOUS sky.

Have you ever noticed that all the stars and planets and contstellations, all move to different parts of the sky during the night?
Have you ever noticed that all the stars and planets and constellations move with our earths seasons? Spring, summer, Autumn and Winter?
Yes they do.
Have you ever noticed there is one STAR in the big sky, that never moves?
NEVER!
That star is the North Star - it's other name is Polaris, and it is always in the Northern sky.
ALWAYS!
Always shining brightly.
My mama and I have been watching the sky.
Every nite we see the North Star shining so brightly.
All the other stars move across the sky.
But the North Star stays in one spot- right outside my bedroom window.
I have been reading about the stars in my very own Star Book.
I think that the reason why the North Star, stays in one place in the sky, is to help all the sea creatures in the big ocean know which way is their home.
And,,
I think the North Star stays in one place in the sky, so that all the geese that fly at night- know which way is North.
I also think, the North Star stays in one place in the sky, so that every night when I wish upon a star, and I can look out my window, and make my wish.

The Biggest Happy Dance in the World

I am doing the BIGGEST
HAPPY DANCE,
that any pug could ever do!

Don't you just feel like CELEBRATING when someone does something very special for you?
Don't you feel so THANKFUL in the deepest part of your heart, when someone touches you?

Touches you from clear across the BIG world?
Someone you have never met?
That is what happened to me.
I feel so THANKFUL!
Everyday, I love going to my friends bloggys.
I love looking and seeing how happy, and festive everyones BLOG is.
I sit and wish.
I sit and look.
I sit and dream.

I was afraid to EVER change my bloggy.
I was afraid that all my friends in bloggy land would "POOF AWAY- into the air" if I hit the wrong button. I was afraid my friends would be GONE!
I woud PANIC! I hate PANIC!

So my bloggy just stayed the same.
It stayed the same
through the winter,
It stayed the same
through the spring,
It stayed the same
through the summer,
It stayed the same,
through the fall,,,,,

and then one special day I heard a tapping on my window.

Scout , Freyja and Mimi are some of my newest friends.
They had come to visit me- the Tweedles.
I could not believe my ears when Mimi asked me a question.
She offered to help, in making some changes to my bloggy.
Did I hear correctly?
Did she have a crystal ball, and did she know what I had been wishing for?
What could I say, but OF COURSE !
And she did it all! YES, All of it!
Every bit of the magical changes, Mimi did.
By now, the whole WIDE WORLD has seen the new :
magical,
festive
fun,
and thankful changes to my bloggy.

I have been reading your comments stating how spectacular my blog looked.
I thank Mimi from the bottom of my heart.
She is such a giving person with a HUGE heart.

Please go visit Scout and Freyja's site if you have not already.
Their bloggy will warm your heart as it did mine.
You will read some very touching storys.
Storys about doggy war heros.
Storys about animals that have touched lives during their short visit on this earth.
There is a lot to read- please go check it out.
Be sure to take a box of tissue, as some of the stories will RIP at your heart strings.
I learned one thing about Mimi as I read.
She was asked what she would do in a natural disaster.
She replied that SHE WOULD and SHE DID, signup to help with animals and rescue operations.
How big a heart is that?
HUGE!
I can only say a special thank you to Mimi.
Nitey nite my friends

"The Unpredictability of Tweedles Adventures"

It was not last night, but PERHAPS it was the night before.
It was time for an ADVENTURE!
A late night adventure to be EXACT.
My mom and I needed to make an EMERGENCY trip to the library, to return my library book.
I forgot my book was due. It was due that night!
So off we go,,,,,, zoom, zoom, zoom.
My mommy and me were driving down the country road to the library 10 miles away.
Trees were bending to the ground from the wildness of the strong winds.
Leaves were tumbling, and rumbling down the road beside us.
We raced with the leaves, as fast as we could go.
FAST, FAST.
My mind was FLIPPING.
It was FLIPPING through all of my thoughts, that were stored deep in my IMAGINATION.
I was not sure if a monster would come out of the darkness and get me!
Not only was my mind FLIPPING, I was jumping to and fro like a billy goat.
I JUST cannot sit still when we go for a ride. I just can't.
It is IMPOSSIBLE!
HOP here, and HOP there, that is what I do BEST.
I do it very well!
And that was when mommy started to sing.
I wasn't afraid anymore.
She sang songs about lulabyes, and happy days, about chasing leaves and me.
Nope, I was not afraid anymore!
I watched my mom sing, I listened to her words.
Soon, I was singing too.
SING! SING! SING!

Then mom disappeared for a minute.
She went inside the library to drop off off my book.

I stayed in the truck. Now was my chance to start searching for goodies.
I could not find any goodies,
I looked under the seats. Not a CRUMB!
But, as I was hopping around , I noticed something strange!
My paws were cold and wet and stinky! It tasted TERRIBLE!
Hummm, what a mystery.
When mom got back into the truck, she noticed my cold wet paws
Cold wet paws were getting on her!
Cold wet paws were on the car seats!
Cold wet paws were on the windows!
Hummm, what a mystery it was, until mom discovered all the wet cold paw marks were black.
The cold wet paw tracks were the color of coffee.
Can you guess what I got my litte paws into?
Yup, YOU guessed right- it was moms cup of COLD coffee.
(she forgot to take it in the house earlier)
I really did not see this as a problem at all.
In fact I thought it was great- now she has my autograph all over the car seats!

Mom was not sure what I was about to do here, in this picture.
She did not give me time to think!
She did not want to give me time to think!
What do you think?
Silly mom!
Mom always tells me she cannot PREDICT the UNPREDICATABILITY of me.
I am not sure what that means. I don't think I need to know. Do you?
And so, as soon as we got home, mom grabbed me.
She grabbed me out of the truck, FAST!
Silly mom!
We walked in the yard for awhile.
Then I went in the house and snuggled into a nice warm blanket, and I snuggled with moms.
That little late nite adventure made me very sleepy!

'If I Was A Leaf"

I have been asking myself, "What if I was a leaf?"
What if YOU were a leaf?
What if ALL of US were leaves?

I watch these leaves FALL everyday.
I watch them FROLIC
I watch them PLAY
I watch them TUMBLE
I watch them FLY into the sky.
They look so FREE.
I wonder where they go?

So many leaves.
Red leaves
Green leaves
Golden leaves.
Big leaves
Small leaves
I wonder where they go?
Do you know where they go?

The sandman came to my house last night.
He SPRINKLED star dust, into my sleepy eyes.

Suddenly, I became a TINY golden leaf on a very TALL tree.
The SWIRLING gusting winds, were tossing me TO and FRO!
I told myself ,"I must hold on tite! I must not let go!"
All the other BRAVE leaves were TUMBLING, TUMBLING, TUMBLING.
Down, down, down to the ground the leaves went- then UP , UP, UP into the sky.
The leaves frolicked.
The leaves danced.
The leaves twirled.
The leaves tossed in the wind.
Green leaves.
Red leaves.
Golden leaves.
I wonder where they go?
Should I let go?
Should I let go, and tumble, tumble, tumble?
Is it safe to let go?
How will I know?
I wonder where ALL of the leaves go?
How will I know when it is time for me to FROLIC with the wind?
I asked myself "WHY" "Why must I let go"?
The wind was tugging at me.
What's a Tweedles to do?
What would you do?
I must decide very soon, I told myself.
So with a flying LEAP, I soared HIGH into the sky!
I twirled
I danced
I frolicked
Can you feel it?

And then,,,,,,,,,,,,, mysteriously,,,,, and ALL OF A SUDDEN , I was AWAKE!
This was a dream!
This was only a dream!
I was not a leaf after all!

I was TWEEDLES again!
I can still remember, what it felt like, to be the little GOLDEN leaf.
The little golden leaf blowing in the wind.
It was MAGICAL. It was SPLENDORIOUS!
I felt FREE as a bubble in the sky!
Did you feel it?

I remember how it felt, when the winds swirled and gusted, and lifted me high.
"HIGHER, HIGHER " , I said- 'LIFT ME HIGHER".

Someday, I will SEARCH, and I will find,,,,, where all the leaves go.
Yes,,,,, someday I will find where they go.
Nitey Nite, my friends

The Spooktacular Halloween in the Forest

Every direction that I go, I am seeing Gobblins and Ghosts and GUESTS!
As soon as the darkness started closing in, things began to look a little CREEPY!
VERY CREEPY!
AND SPOOKEY!

I am not sure why I was a litte AFRAID.
All my friends are here, and we are going to have FUN!

My first guests to arrive, strolled up my long WINDING driveway.
They looked like they had walked for MILES and MILES.
I strained my eyes, and stood in awe, as I saw a Shining Knight.

To the left of The Shining Knight, was a very Gentle Soul with the kindest eyes.
I recognized BOTH of them. Right from the very beginning-- I knew who they were.
It was Thunder Dog and Phantom from the OP Pak.
With tail wags and doggied kisses, we said hello to each other.
To the right of them, was the most beautiful, Miss Fluffy Tail herself- Khyra!

Following behind the wagging fluffy tails, my eyes gazed down the path where something reminded me of myself. It was a pug with the most beautiful tail and sparkling eyes. Around it's neck was little charms and sparkly sequins. I stopped to investigate and looking deep into the brown eyes the secret was revealed. It was my friend Merox- she was dressed like a pug- just like me.
I was honored that she had left her human world to come to my party.

I was amazed when my eyes gazed into the DEEP forest.
I saw a trail of candles and lanterns twinking as the procession of all my friends, followed each other, trick or treating---- into the forest.
Into the forest they went!
Here comes a big KITTY- a huge KITYY- IT'S A LION.
It purrred as it walked- it's tail wagged in the air like it was a flag.
The lion was my friend Diane! Sweet Diane.
The long procession traveled through the paths in my yard, and UP, UP, UP into the magical forest, where the mystical mist was settling EVERYWHERE.
The forest smelled like mint.
The leaves were a teapot of Autumn Brew.
The candles and lantern shone like stars in the SKY.
So many STARS!
So many STARS!

There was my friend little Otis - His costume was a Little Devil.
He carried a pitch fork!
WATCH OUT!
WATCH OUT, I YELLED.
WATCH OUT!
There was another Little Devil- Omalley, with red horns.
Yes they looked mighty scary!
YIKES!
SCARY - SCARY!

There were two ROYAL Kings: Hank and Dispatch.
Dispatch escorted his mommy to the nice cinnamon rolls and Cider that Salinger and his mom brought. Salinger was being his very COLORFUL self. He always shows his TRUE COLORS!

I felt like hiding when I saw Frankenstein, who really turned out to be Stubby. You could have fooled me!
It also appeared to me, that Franenstein had a friend with him .
As I looked closer, I noticed a prisoner.
Could that be Oakley? YES, it was.
They were chained together!

Now there were two doctors!
One doctor was Dr. Salinger, and the other doctor was Dr. Swish.
We always need to have PLENTY of doctors !
Salingers mom had a broken arm- she was a patient.

Here comes Maggie and Mitch wearing matching beautiful bandanas!
Everyone was envious of those bandanas , including me!
Did you see those bandanas?
There was Kong- he was carrying a bottle of perfume for ME! Evening in Paris perfume!

My yard was becoming quite FESTIVE ! There was dancing, there was cheering.
There was FOOD!

Right in the center of the dancing, up on the deck was little Cocorue. She was dressed like a psychedilic scary chi. DANCE , DANCE, DANCE!
No one was afraid!
Bats were flying everywhere!
EVERYWHERE!
Everyone was dancing.
Ben and Foo, were doing the limbo rock.
Howie Pee Pugpants , Annebelly and Java were jumping on pogo sticks!
Scout and Freyja looked like Dog Nannys- and they were doing the dog hop dance!
Dixie, Bugg and Sophie, Lucky and Roxy, were playing spin the pug.
Who were they spinning?
ME of COURSE!
ME of COURSE!
I was sooooo DIZZY!

Up by the turtle pond, I saw TWO turtles!
SPLASH, SPLASH, SPLASH.
Who could these cute little GREEN turtles be?
Sequoia and Emmitt- could that be you?
YES!
YES IT WAS!
The cutest turtles I have EVER seen!

And there was a BANANNA - It was Petunia- IT'S a Petunia bananna!
I was getting so confused. It was hard to keep track and see WHO really -was WHO!
The more I looked, the more I saw, the more CONFUSED I became!

There was the beautiful Scout, Charlie and Ollie eating the wonderful meatloaves that Emmitt brought.
Scout was not the only one eating those marverlous meatloaves! They were very popular!
I ate 4, all by myself!
I thought that I saw something flying through the air. To my amazement there was Peter Pan!
Peter Pan- show me your idenity, please!
With a quick tap on my shoulder, I could see it was Sally Ann .
Mack was imitating "Tink"-
There was DW all dressed up like a Fairy.
Arlo was a Bumble Bee! A friendly Bumble Bee!

With a sudden wind GUSH above my head, and a familiar sound to my ears, I knew something awesome was about to take place.
There HE was in all his SPLENDORIOUS beauty, the spectacular Owlbert.

And who do you think was on the back of Owlbert?
Well, it was little Sasha of course! Her little face nestled into Owlberts warm feathers.
Her BIG eyes peering in AWEEE!

I am still trying to keep control of this SPOOKTACULAR party.
This is a FULL TIME JOB!
I was making sure that all the Ghosts and Gobblins were friendly, and not to be feared!
NO FEAR!

Surprisingly to me , and hiding behind some bushes ,and trying to scare ME (me - chicken little )was Gidget, from Life with Dogs dressed like a giant CATS!
That did scare me!
I was SHAKING!

There was Pearl, and Becky eating TOFU sausages, and popcorn.
YUM!

My little feline friends Jane and Alice. They were sitting on the roof. They were playing with the bats.
Their lanterns shown like a million candles, lighting up the sky.

Fuji, Lilly and Benny, Max, Bajas and Virus were sailing on bubbles.
Up the mountain, and into the forest, the bubbles sailed.
High into the sky!
High into the sky!
Small Bubbles
Big bubbles.
Everyone was riding the Bubbles!
What a wonderful way to see Ghosts and Gobblins!
YES IT WAS!

Some of my newest friends just arrived.
Paula and her 3 pugs Bandit, Smokey and Paisley were dressed like the Three Stooges.
They were so funny. They were entertaining everyone! I had NEVER so much FUN!

Clip clop, clippity clop. Who can that be?
It really doesn't look scary enough to be a monster.
DOES IT?
I looked a second time.
I could see it was Tango Pony.
On his back, sitting like proud Queens were Annebelle and Maddie, and Jan.
Everyone ran to take rides on Tango Pony.
Tango brought a whole basket of apples, for us carmelize. And Maddie and Annebelle were balancing a box of homemade BISCUITS on their head!

Here are some friendly ghosts from the forest.
Don't they look like they are DANCING?
They came from inside the forest to join in the fun!
The ghosts were caught telling spooky stories to Pearl, Coco, Checkers.

Riley, who was dressed just like a Pumpkin , was listening to some great storys from the GREAT PUMPKIN.
Star, who was dressed as a Bunny Rabbitt was sitting on a log eating carrots with my friend Nibblet.
CRUNCH
CRUNCH
CRUNCH

I thought I saw a BIG fluffy Chicken fly by, it was Daisy.
Pearl was a Squirrel. Her cheeks were stuffed FULL of NUTS!

Rosemarie, was all dressed in Orange and Black skull face and cross bones. Very colorful, I must say. Everyone gathered around to stare, as she was so COLORFUL.

Al, was strolling along the quiet creek.
He was listening to forest sounds.
He was watching the snails carry candy corn on their backs.

Occasionally, we heard the PLUNK of the toads, are they dove into the frog pond.
Sometimes, a HUGE bat would fly over our heads.
Everyone DUCK!

The fog was settling on the golden leaves.
The owls were hooting.
My friends had traveled the worn paths into the dark forest to trick or treat.
They had little back packs, and mouths stuffed full of carmel corn, nuts, candied apples, and all kinds of treasures.
Everyone was tired.
They had stopped along their way to visit with the squirrels and Gabby the fawn, all the rabbits, and the crows, and bunnys.

I say: It's time to toast marshmellows!
It's time to REFLECT.

It's time to sit around the campfire and HOLD HANDS.
It's time to tell Ghost Stories!!

I had a wonderful time at the party. DID YOU?
Thank you all for coming to share this Halloween in my forest.
I hope I did not miss anyone. If I did not say your name- please let me know.

Nitey nite

The Envelope

KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK!!
I was AWAKEN by a LOUD knocking at my door!
I asked myself.
"Am I hearing things? Is this a dream?"
"I must be hearing things!
This knocking certainly- must be a dream."
It's SUPPOSED to be time for my beauty sleep.
It's not TIME for knocking at my door!"
I closed my eyes again.
I started drifting off to DREAM LAND.
DREAM LAND, here I come -one more time!
zzzzzzzzzzz
KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK!!
That OBNOXIOUS knocking was back AGAIN!
I decided that sometime's, it is best to not IGNORE situations, especially SUSPICIOUS noises!
Sometimes NOISES can be important.
So, I wearily stumbled to the door.
I stood up on a chair and peeked my little eyes out of the peek a boo hole.
I was SURPRISED, to see NO ONE!
Nope, not ONE soul.
I thought to myself, "I certainly must have been IMAGINING."
As I gazed sleepily down to the ground, I rubbed my eyes.
I needed to see more CLEARLY, I said to myself.
Then I saw it!
Yes, I saw it!
A closer look was absolutely what I needed!
Right before my very eyes, a brightly colored envelope lay on my porch.
I saw the word "TWEEDLES" written in HUGMUNGOUS letters.
"Tweedles", well that is ME, I thought.
I slowly opened the door and grabbed the envelope FAST.
As I tore the envelope open, my heart LEAPED with JOY!
JOY, JOY, JOY!
FUN, FUN, FUN!
To YOU from ME is what the words said.
My heart skipped a beat.
I smiled!
As I was ripping the envelope open, and shreds of paper were flying EVERYWHERE- my mind RACED.
I had no IDEA what this was all about.
I was so EXCITED.

This is what I found inside the envelope

Look!
This little character is doing EXACTLY what I like to do!
SCRIBBLE!
SCRIBBLE!
SCRIBBLE!
YES!
Now isn't that a ko-inky- dinky that I would get a SCRIBBLE AWARD!??
It seems to me, that someone knew me more, than I know myself.
Do you ever feel that way?
That someone who really seemed to know me is
"Gen and the Foo."http://utterlychaotic.blogspot.com/
I was THRILLED.
I was HONORED
Thank you so much for sharing your cherrished Award with me!

As I pulled more treasures out of the envelope, this is what I saw.
Cocorue, my new little friend from Malaysia, shared this cherrished AWARD with me.
Look at the WORDS.
It says Showing Some Love Award!
Can you believe it?
I was honored to receive this.
Many times I have danced with little Coco, in my dreams.
And I have also received some cherrished chikisses- right on my little cheek!
If you have not met - little Coco from http://luvbeingachihuahua.blogspot.com/ (the cutest little girl chiuahua on the planet) you are missing out on a WHEEL -BARREL of fun! (a very nice wardrobe of clothes, she has too)
Go say Hi! She would love to meet you.

What big hearts you have- for sharing with me. Is thank you a big enough word?

I will start my sharing of these awards, by picking two friends that are BRAND NEW to me

Time has come for me to go back to sleep now.
I do not hear any knocking. I will dream about scribbling.
